Complaint for inaccurate Whois

As an ICANN accredited registrar, Gandi is bound to maintain a WHOIS database. The purpose of the article VI-7 of the Gandi's contract that you subscribed is to enforce this obligation. This form was created to apply this clause.

If you could not contact the holder of a domain because of inaccurate data in the Whois, you can point it out to us by filling this form.

In all the other cases, particularly spam problem or difficulty to update your own domain name, please contact our support (link at the end of this page). This form does NOT fit these situations, and we would not be able to help you via this procedure.

Here are the main steps of our procedure to update personal data:

1. lodge a complaint
2. confirm the complaint
3. content of the complaint is forwarded to the administrative contact of the domain
4. contractual delay: 15 calendar days
5. online result of the procedure.

Here are the possible results:

- data inaccuracy corrected
- accuracy of current data confirmed
- no answer within the 15 days delay: domain on HOLD status (can not be used)
- inappropriate complaint
